The girls are really understanding/comprehending stuff more and more. Not that they listen or obey, just that we can tell they understand. 🙂 They are only one and a half. 🙂
This little interaction has become pretty common place lately. When it’s time for bed, I’ll say “Ok girls, want to go night-night?” And they’ll repeat “night-night”. Sometimes, it takes multiple repetitions, but it still works.
Tonight, however, Emi took it to a the next step. She was sitting at the kitchen table — on a big chair — “talking” with Ron. She and Abby were clearly getting tired (it was after 9:30pm). So, I said “Ok girls, want to go night-night?”
Emi turned and looked at me and said “night-night”, turned to Ron, waved and said “bye-bye”, got down from her chair and off we went.
It was the cutest thing ever!!
