We got to see the cows this time around! Woohoo! The Jim Graham building was full of cows this time. It was really cool to see them, but they weren’t moo’ing! Bummer!
There were signs around too that indicated you were to stick to the outside edge — the perimeter and not go through the middle, but people were doing so no matter what. As we stood trying to decide if we were going to break the rules, a guy — and his cow — came up behind us and said “just go on, everyone else does.” So, we did. He then said “if anyone yells, just tell them the cow pushed you in.”
He followed us for a minute with his cow in tow. Eventually, we “pulled over” to let him pass and I turned the stroller so E&A could see the very pretty brown/carmel colored cow. Joseph even pet her. 🙂
We made our way to the DUCKS! next. Gotta say it right… DUCK! very loud. Those runner ducks are hilarious looking to me. They stunk though, so we kept moving.
Roosters and chickens were next. Joseph wanted to know why they were for sale. 😉 Turkey dinner in about a month!
Then, we hit the highlight of E&A’s day… after having torn them from the John Deere tractors, of course… baby chicks!
They got to “pet” the baby chicks. Joseph held a teeny tiny one in his hand and held the baby duck. I held a few of them and let E&A pet them. They’d stick out their finger and touch the head then sort of shiver at having done so. At one point Abby wanted to grab the whole thing, so I decided to call it quits with the baby birdies. It was very very sweet though.
They have hand washing stations all around the animals, so we all washed our hands and headed to the new building and for our traditional funnel cake.
