Emi’s super-sad face

I really didn’t mean too, but I think she was still “waking up” from her nap and my point got across a bit too emotionally.

E&A were having their pre-dinner snack. Emily’s mouth was STUFFED to the max with 1/2 a breakfast bar. Then, I see her take a banana and start to stuff that in. Since I didn’t want her to attempt it, I said, in a nice, but firm tone… “No, no Emi… too much in your mouth.”

Then, I see the banana fall from her hands, in mid-air, part of the breakfast bar starts coming back out, the HUGE pouty lips sticks out, the crocodile tears start and she just started bawling!

I felt sooooooooooooooooooo bad! She refused to eat her bananas after that and in her crying ended up spitting part of the stupid bar onto ME! I had to get in into my lap to calm her down.

She really hates being told ‘no’. I think she’s a perfectionist and it’s not that she’s told ‘no’ but that she did something wrong that she hates. 🙁 Abby, on the other hand, she usually couldn’t care less and ‘no’ doesn’t REALLY mean ‘no’ does it? 😉
