Church picnic

Today was our annual church picnic. It was at the same park as usual and was a lot of fun. The girls got to swing, walk around, stroll in the stroller, eat food that they refused to leave on a plate, sit in other people’s chairs, etc.

The especially liked the Esche’s rainbow chair

Emily … after Abby “fell” out.

A little later we took them to the swings and play area. They are just too small for the playground yet, but soon enough. Instead, we had to put them at the top of the slide and let them slide down. Abby, the daredevil, did it herself — without Ron or I holding on. Emi, the conservative, gave us a look of intense fright, but did want to do it again. Someone had to hold on though!

Swinging with Daddy

And Joseph all worn out from jumping in the jumpy-thing and getting banged up from running into other kids. At one point he was sporting a huge bruise on his collarbone. I guess he’d gotten hit pretty hard!

All in all, it was a great event with good, fattening food and lots of fun to be had. Everyone, including me, was worn out at days end.
