But… I gotta wonder. I do know that girls are usually ahead of boys in that area, but no way at 15 months.
Tonight, I was sitting at the computer desk “chatting” with Emi. I see Abby over by the diapers, pulling the last 10 out of the bag and scattering them everywhere. No biggie, they do this regularly.
About 2 minutes later, Abby comes up to me with 2 diapers. She gives me one (obviously for Emi) and holds on to the 2nd one, but waves it at me as if to say “Mommy, I need a diapee change”. So, I ran with it.
I said “Abby, you need a diapee change?” She started to sit down right there on the kitchen floor. Instead, I picked her up, brought her to the carpet (it’s just softer), she laid down, didn’t squirm, practically didn’t move and let me change her diaper and then started clapping success!
I really gotta wonder. Hmmmm… She was in fact wet, so maybe she’s recognizing something?!?!?!
Jaqueline was potty trained totally by 16 months and was in pull ups until she was 2 but by then she never had accidents.
I hear boys are MUCH harder! Dorian won’t be ready for ages.
