We meat Tanya (craftymom on Twinstuff) at Coulon Beach Park today. Her ID twin boys are 3.5 and are REALLY(!) identical! I could not have told you who was who if not for the different color (but same style) shirts she had them in.
Of course, we weren’t as nice and our girls were dressed identically. 😉
The park is amazing with a beach on Lake Washington and this HUGE playground. Joseph had a blast playing with Tanya’s middle son Dylan. He’s 7.
The girls, of course, loved their swinging adventure!
Eventually, we walked over to Ivars (local fried seafood joint) and had a relatively frustrating lunch. The boys all sat together and they only had one high chair and Emi had gotten sunblock in her eye so it just wasn’t a good lunch. It was really cool to be with Tanya and her kids and to chat though.
We met ANOTHER twin mom while there… I noticed the double stroller. Of course we both told her about Twinstuff (both of us being moderators there and all). Ron had met a Grandma-of-twin-to-be while on the playground. I went up to her a bit later and told her about TS, too. Gotta plug the site we love!
After lunch we “fed” the ducks, despite the sign saying not to feed the wild life. But, we figured we fed the kids and they are wild life, so the ducks could eat the left overs. The boys just sat on the edge of the dock/deck and talked and threw scraps.
Before departing, we took several group shots. I just loved this one the most because Dylan was “being Dylan”.
In order from left to right are Tanya, Codie, Abby, Aaron, Dylan, Brandon, Joseph, Me and Emi.
It was really great to put real people and a face to a username. The Internet has created a world beyond the confines of geographical location and it’s just great to be able to meet people like this. This is our 2nd TS based meeting, the first being at the zoo in early 2005. I hope to be able to meet more moms as it’s just really cool to meet other twin parents!
