We finally made to my Aunt and Uncle’s house on Fox Island around 3:30pm. Traffic in Seattle is an absolute nightmare. We never figured it would take so long to get to their house from Coulon Beach. We actually allotted an hour and it took quite a bit longer. In any case, we’re not moving to Seattle, that’s for sure. 😉
Their new house is in the works, but is just beautiful!
Their “barn” is their temporary home and it too is just beautiful!!
Natalie and Megan were perfect baby-doll babysitters and Abby and Emi were the newly crowned live baby dolls. They got carted all over the place by the older (9 & 10 respectively) girls. It was quite cute. 🙂
For much of the time, we had the girls stay on a blanket, but they did get out and about.
Joseph had and absolute blast with the boys… my cousins, Stephan and Billy.
A ton of my family was there. Only my Aunt Lynn chose not to join and my Uncle Paul was there in spirit. All the cousins that are my age are growing up! Carin, the flower girl from Ron and my wedding 11 years ago is 19 now! Wow! Everyone looks great too. Relaxed…
In typical Yancey style, dinners were made as a group and everyone congregated in the kitchen. In this case though… there was the red house kitchen and the barn kitchen to contend with while the new house kitchen wasn’t quite ready for use. 😉
All in all, it was a super visit and really nice to see these folks. We’ll get to see them again next year… at Steph and Shawn’s wedding!
