Late night munchies at 13 months?

I put the the girls to bed at 8:45pm. By 9:50, Emily was up and crying and not putting herself back to sleep. I got her, nursed her again (which often does the trick) and put her back. 5 minutes later, she’s screaming crying.

I have a phobia of putting a baby to bed or leaving her to scream and not knowing why… worry about hairs being wrapped around fingers and such. So, anyway, I went and got her.

I was working on something, so I was a bit frustrated in having to deal with this screaming, crying baby who when with me, Ron and Joseph was happy but still fussing.

After a bit, I tried nursing her and putting her back to sleep again only to have her wake 10 minutes later screaming again. So, I went and got her and brought her downstairs again and she played, but was reallly fussy again.

So, I stuck her in her high chair and dropped some fruit puffs on the tray. Can we say “gone in 60 seconds” ? So, I gave her a big “pile” of shredded cheese. Gone. So, I gave her a fruit ring. Gone. 3 more fruit rings later and she seemed to be happy.

She ended up going to bed with me and I put her into her bed after Abby woke up (12:30am) and they both slept soundly until around 4am.

I guess she was HUNGRY! I’m going to load them up tonight right before bed and see if it does the trick.
