We’re staying in the Comfort Suites again tonight while the last coat of polyurethane dries on the hardwoods. Once again, the girls seem to be in 7th heaven in this place. I don’t know why in the world they are so excited, but it’s like they ate a sugar pill or something… they are going, going, going… much like the energizer bunny.
Joseph, of course, went swimming for 1/2 an hour. It’s really a nice pool and was well worth the $70/night to have it for a bit.
The girls, however, freaked out when he jumped in. I don’t know if they were worried about him or didn’t see me, or what. But, on cue, they both started crying. It was actually kind of funny.
In any case, I put them on my lap and we laughed, and clapped and talked with Joseph while he swam.
Dinner was at Jack Astors. There is NO(!) better place to go with kids. It’s loud, audibly and by visual design and the girls like to tear up the paper they put on the tables to color on.
We got their fresh baked apple pie and ice cream as dessert and it is heavenly! A must try for those that haven’t had it yet.
