After the girls went to bed (yes, after) we started on the wall again. We had to finish the bottom and baseboard at a minimum because then the hardwood guys can come put the floor in.
We finished it all! The only exception is that we have to go back and put in more screws and a few more nails in the baseboard. And, funny story on the baseboard. It’s a 16 foot piece — standard size at Home Depot and fits perfectly in my dining room. I got a piece in the first run to Home Depot on Saturday and passed it through the window of the van. As soon as I hit 25/30 mph, the windw picked it up and snapped it in half, leaving a portion on the Hwy 64 shoulder.
The 2nd time around, Joseph went with me and held it in place and we didn’t go about 30 mph the whole way home!
The wall looks good. This completes this 2nd major phase. I can’t wait to get the sanding, mudding, and more sanding done next weekend!
