Emily, that is. Abby went down at about 10:00pm (ish) after nuring, being awake, being put in her crib, not falling asleep, getting mad and both of them coming back to nurse again. Abby fell right to sleep that second go-round.
Em, on the other hand was WIDE AWAKE! You’d have sworn she’d eaten a caffeine pill or something. She was playing and getting mad when we weren’t around. I tried to get her down 2 or 3 times with no luck.
At one point, I gave her to Ron in his office. Put her in the bouncy seat. A bit later, I get called downstairs to come upstairs and look at something. Em tried to get out of the bouncy seat and would have succeeded if her leg hadn’t gotten caught in the waist strap. Guess they can’t use the bouncy anymore unless someone is watching them closely.
Em was up with me and Ron until I went to bed… nearly midnight. By then, she was tired and she fell asleep in about 5 minutes. 🙂 I think I only switched them out once during the night, but both were wide awake at 7am!
I put them in their cribs and Abby fell back to sleep, but Em cried and cried and cried. She finally found a toy and started playing, but by the time I’d gotten dressed, Em was crying those big sobbing, hitched breath crys. So, I got her out, tried to feed her… not interested. Tried her in the exersaucer… not interested. I had to go, so I had to leave her crying, but Daddy was right there, so hopefully he was able to calm her down. She was only happy when I was holding her. Poor baby. I think she was just plain tired still. 🙁
