Little history first… the Incrediblock has a small compartment where stuff can be stored. It has a “door” that can be easily opened and closed by a child.
This part… as told to me by Ron…
“I was in baby jail with the girls and they were crawling all over me like they do. Well, my leg was kind of wedge up against the block’s door. Since it was open, I closed it to make room. Emily heard me close it, made her way over to it and opened it up and then left to go play.
So, I closed it again and again, Em made her way over and closed it and left to go play. So, I very quietly closed it to see what would happen. A few minutes later, Emily looked over, saw it was closed and deliberately came over to open the door and leave!
Then, I closed it again and Abby proceeded to do the same.”
When I got home tonight, I was in baby jail with the girls and I tested Ron’s story. They didn’t see me close the block but a few minutes after I did, Abby went over to it, opened it up and left to go play.
Sure enough… the door must stay open or the babies will open it. What’s this going to say about the front door to the house when they get bigger? 😉
