I put the girls down last night a little differently. Same time (8:30pm) but differently. They both nursed to sleep, but Abby wouldn’t let go. I’d delatch her, she’d relatch. So finally, I semi-forcefully delatched her, walked her into her room and laid her in her bed. She cried… wailed actually.
So, I went back in and flipped her over onto her belly, covered her up and walked out. She cried for about 2 minutes and that was it. Out.
Em, was asleep on our bed the whole time. So I got her, put her in her bed and went down to work with Joseph.
Around 10:30pm, Em woke up, nursed and went back to sleep in about 10 minutes. No peep from Abby.
I finally went to bed around 11:30 and somewhere around midnight, Ron brought me two hugry babies. I fed them both and put Abby back in her bed. She woke up, cried and cried for about 1 minute and conked out. Put Em back, after Abby was out and they both slept until about 5am, when Abby woke up and ate… and Em woke up at 6ish and I switched them out.
So, Abby was the better sleeper this night. Go figure. Em woke up for the day at 7am, too… just as she has for the last two days. She spent her early morning time getting ready with me and then Abby woke as I was trying to leave, so they both got plopped into their exersaucers right by Daddy. 🙂
