Both girls woke up after nursing themselves “to sleep” — meaning they obviously weren’t totally asleep. So, instead of taking them downstairs, I decided to put them in their cribs with some toys and the lights on.
I’ve been reading “The No Cry Sleep Solution” and one thing it suggests is to let them get used to their cribs, play in them, so that when we put them down, they are comfy, not freaked out.
So anyway, I left them there with some music and went downstairs for a bit. I decided to go back up and check on them and look what I found!
That’s Abby, by the way. Can you believe it?
Needless to say, the mattress wasn’t on the lowest setting, so I was just waiting for her to use the fish toy as a stepping stool and fall right out. So, we lowered their mattresses tonight.
We let them play together for a bit while we did it.
They are always so cute in their crib together (just don’t sleep well that way).
