Protein

Between them, they had 1.5g protein each for the first time! Our pediatrician wanted us to wait unti they were 7 months old (so they are 6 months adjusted) for protein.

Honestly, I didn’t think I’d be able to stand meat in baby food, but I sucked it up and bought a Tender Harvest Squash, Corn and Chicken baby dinner. The girls seemed to really enjoy it!

I’m going to try a few Gerber brands, but if it looks and smells like cat food, I’m chucking it! Ewwww!

Tender Harvest is more expensive, organic and just seems all-around better, but our grocery store didn’t have many other brands except the one I bought to test. So, we’ll see.

In any case, once they get through stage 2 foods, we can move them to 3 and really start with foods they must chew… granted they have no teeth, so it’ll all still be soft! 😉
