Our girls DO NOT sleep through the night. I don’t remember Joseph sleeping through until he was closer to 10 months, but I don’t remember waking 4-6 times per night for him either. It’s all probably because there are two this time around! 🙂
So, last night, I decided to try a different tactic and see what happened. Of course, I didn’t decide this until the 2nd time I got them asleep, after moving them to their hated crib and waking them up anyway.
I got them to sleep and left them in our bed and I slept on the floor next to the bed, wrapped up in our hot blanket (the big, hot blanket).
The first one woke at around 1:30am (longer than usual). The second shortly thereafter. Then, again around 3am. And again, but both of them this time, at 4:44am. Ron happened to be “awake” at this one and said “Oh, did they just now wake up?” ha ha ha!
Got them back to sleep and Em woke up at 5:14a and Abby not until 6:43a.
So, technically, the did sleep longer, now, we have to somehow get them out of the early morning wake-ups. We have some ideas and will be testing them, hopefully this weekend, because I can’t see sleeping on the floor as a good idea long-term! 😉
Ron joked last night that I’d sleep on the floor, he’d sleep in the crib and the girls could have our king size bed. 😀
