When sleeping in the basement with one baby, it’s easy to have them on the futon bed with Ron and I. With two babies, it’s nearly impossible. So, we added an air mattress to the side of the futon.
Ultimately, Ron slept on the futon with one baby and I slept on the air mattress with the other. When the one on the futon would wake up, I’d crawl up to the futon, nurse her and go to sleep. When the one on the air mattress woke up, I’d crawl back onto it and nurse her and fall asleep.
At one point in this night, Abby woke up and wasn’t screaming or crying but talking, talking, talking. So, I crawled up onto the futon mattress and she saw me and said “MummMummm” and then “BubbBubb” She knew what she wanted! 🙂 Mommy and fast food! 😉
