We saw The Incredibles!

Joseph asked to go see a movie with “just us” — no twins in tow. Since The Incredibles came out this weekend, and we all wanted to see it, we figured this was the perfect opportunity.

So, we engaged a couple of teens from church (and their mom and dad) to watch the girls at their house. $8/hour for the two of them (not a bad deal!).

Joseph also invited his friend Levi (from 1st and 2nd grade) to the movie. The Incredibles is a great movie — so far nothing bad has come out of Pixar Studios. Needless to say, it was kid friendly, adult friendly and oh so funny! There was also a point, actually numerous ones — some that the kids would certainly “get” and others geared directly to us adults!

The theatre was packed when we got their 15 minutes early, but as we were making our way across the back row, going from the right to the left side of the theatre to get some seats we saw, the lady we were crossing in front of said the seats right there were open! We’d thought they were saved!

So, with a nearly packed house, we got 4 seats in the top row center! The best possible seats in a theatre! 🙂

Both Joseph and Levi said they really liked the movie.

We then went back to get the girls. They were happy and in the arms of their babysitters. 🙂 Apparently, Emily enjoyed a stroller ride, while Abby wanted nothing to do with one. Abby wanted to be walked around and both slept a little bit — in their sitters’ arms of course! 🙂 Spoiled girls!

All reports were good though. They had a good 3.5 hours and were well behaved. But of course, they are *my* girls! 😉
