Joseph qualifies because he has siblings under the age of 6 months. We could have done the shot, but the Pediatrician recommended we give him the Flu Mist instead. You have to be a healthy person between 5 and 49 years old.
It was .25ml in each nostril with about 5 seconds of “sniffing” to get it into his system.
He was quite nervous at first and the nurse was rushing because they’d called everyone at the last minute to come in when they got a shipment in — first come, first serve these days.
Anyway, he got through it and is now “covered” for this year’s flu (hopefully). We don’t normally get flu shots (and Ron and I don’t technically qualify anyway) so it’s all about the girls this year! 🙂
