Joseph is a very funny kid. He loves to tell us when one of the girls is crying and wants to know why they are crying, and so often, we haven’t a clue!
He’s also getting better at helping put pacifiers back in mouths — particularly Abby’s as she’s primarily the one that wants/needs it. Emily, not so much.
Abby (I think) stuck her tongue out at Joseph this weekend, so I had to explain that it wasn’t done in meanness, but just because that’s what babies do.
He’s had only 2 days of adjustment before heading back to YMCA and another period of adjustment (for us all). So far though, I think he’s taking their presence well and isn’t too hindered by them being here (not that he has a choice!).
He did notice that Emily toots a lot and thought that was funny until we told him she takes after him. Oh well… guess it’s just not as funny anymore… one of those adjustment things we’ll have to get through.
Since he’s such an emotional child anyway, he’s doubly so now, so it’s important for us to recognize when things that might otherwise have been fun/goofy/etc. before are no longer. His sense of humor, I believe, is becoming more adult like.
