The girls slept until 4am when I woke them up and then again until 8am, when I again woke them up. That’ll be nice if it remains their pattern.
So, at the 4am feeding, we did a bottle of expressed breastmilk and it only took 15 minutes to get it all done. I of course had to pump after that, but pumping is very relaxing for me, so I don’t have a problem doing it at all.
Morning time went smoothly too. We watched our mandatory RSV video as well as the CPR video (refresher from our course). We filled out the final paperwork, got our pediatrician appointment for tomorrow (Wednesday) and packed up the kiddies and all our stuff for home!
Bonnie was on again today (she’d said the girls couldn’t go home unless she was working — as she’s been their primary nurse throughout the entire 18 days!). She gave us a BUNCH of stuff to take home, including the bottles that we like so much (really good measuring containers), the take-home Isomil diaper bags, two additional bags from the hospital and all the stuff that was in the girls crib, too!
We are loaded with baby stuff these days! That’s, obviously, a good thing!
As part of the procedure for leaving, they cut off the hug tags (security tags for the hospital) and Bonnie and another nurse carried the girls in their carseats down to the van. Once strapped in and packed with all our accessories, we left the hospital with our girls in tow!
