Tonight is our night to room in with the twins! That means we’ll spend our entire day at the hospital, spend the night and get to go home tomorrow!
Our monitors were to be delivered at 12pm, but ended up an hour late. Better late than never, of course. We’ve learned how to use them, when there is a “false” alarm and when it’s just a connection issue.
I don’t like the monitor strap they provided and asked for the snaps. Snaps are much smaller and go on with the sticky gel that they’ve been using on the girls since the beginning. The strap goes around their entire abdomen to hold two leads in palce under thei arms. Ugh!
We’re in TCC11 (that’s the room number) and Pat and Lisa are our NICU nurses for the night. Bonnie was on during the day, but her shift ended at 7pm. It’s up to us now, except for the occasional check-in by a NICU nurse.
The girls managed to feed almost exclusively from me (which is a feat, I might add!). Then, off to “bed” they went at about midnight.
