Well, every time we call the nursery to check on the girls, they remind us of the plan to room-in and take these girlies home on Tuesday! So, I think we’re just that much closer to getting them home!
We only spent 1 “feeding” session with them today because of Joseph’s party, but giving him that time was well worth it.
Emily and Abby are really growing into their own. They spend more time awake — eyes open awake vs. just “there” awake. And, they are eating more. Apparently, Abby downed 60cc today (2 oz!) during her afternoon feeding.
The rice cereal must really be helping, but those girls have to suck hard to get it through the bottle nipples. We think we’ll have to reduce the amount just a bit to make it easier, when they have a bottle of course.
I think we’ll probably be doing some marathon feedings in the coming weeks to get my supply up and them to nurse more often. They are fun to feed as they each make little “horn” sounds — indicating they are quite happy while they munch!
Tomorrow will be the setup day — Daddy has to setup the car seats in the van, we have to officially get rid of the MINI (to Carmax) and I’ll repack the going home bag for the girls. They’ll be in real clothes for a change (instead of the white long sleeved hospital shirts!).
We can still use those prayers though because we’re not out of the woods yet… one more consecutive day to be sure.
